Neeta Pandit-Taskar
A nuclear medicine doctor who spent 25 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering developing radioactive antibody treatments, including therapies for children with neuroblastoma, before moving to lead nuclear medicine at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in 2025.
Overview
Neeta Pandit-Taskar joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in 2000 and became Clinical Director of the Center for Radioimmunotargeted Imaging and Theranostics of the Ludwig Center for Cancer Immunotherapy, working on radiolabelled monoclonal antibodies and small molecules across lymphoma, prostate, renal and pancreatic cancers, and on 131I-omburtamab for paediatric leptomeningeal disease. In July 2025 she moved to become Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Vice-Chair of Clinical and Translational Research at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and the University of Pittsburgh, also directing oncology imaging and theranostics there.
She served as president of the SNMMI Therapy Advisory Committee (Center for Molecular Imaging, Innovation, and Translation) from 2021 to 2023 and has advised the FDA and NRC on clinical use of actinium-225 alpha-emitting therapies. Her research spans imaging and therapy dosimetry for both antibody- and peptide-based radiopharmaceuticals, with particular depth in paediatric neuroblastoma imaging (18F-mFBG PET).
