United Imaging

United Imaging, based in Shanghai and listed as 688271.SS, is the Chinese imaging company that built uEXPLORER, the first total-body PET scanner. The uEXPLORER has a 194 centimetre axial field of view and about forty times the sensitivity of a conventional scanner, the uMI Panorama is its other PET platform, and the company has a growing presence in the United States. Nuclide links it to PET/CT, to nuclear medicine and total-body PET hardware and total-body PET for screening and ultra-low-dose imaging, to the molecular imaging roadmap, and to ideas on total-body PET for personalised radioligand dosing and on open-hardware machines for difficult environments.
