## Summary

Stefano Fanti has directed the Nuclear Medicine Division and PET Unit at the Policlinico Sant'Orsola in Bologna since the early 2000s, building it into one of the most active European centres for non-FDG PET tracers, and is now also Vice Rector for Research at the University of Bologna. He co-authored the first standardised interpretive framework for PSMA-ligand PET (2017) and is a repeat co-author of the EAU-EANM-ESTRO-ESUR-SIOG prostate cancer guidelines that define the clinical role of PSMA PET in staging and restaging.

He has proposed and co-authored consensus criteria for assessing PSMA PET response to systemic therapy (the PSMA PET progression criteria, and consensus statements on PSMA PET/CT response assessment), and is a co-author of the EANM/SNMMI PSMA PET/CT procedure guideline versions 1.0 and 2.0. His work bridges the clinical and regulatory sides of PSMA imaging standardisation across Europe and the US.
