## TL;DR

An Italian-trained nuclear medicine doctor who helped develop the lutetium-177 dotatate treatment for neuroendocrine tumours and now leads targeted radionuclide therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.

## Summary

Lisa Bodei trained in nuclear medicine in Italy and worked at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, where she ran early phase I-II studies of 177Lu-DOTATATE peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) and published long-term toxicity data across hundreds of neuroendocrine tumour patients. She moved to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she is Director of Targeted Radionuclide Therapy in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service, and is a substudy author on the dosimetry component of the pivotal NETTER-1 trial that supported Lutathera's approval.

She co-authored the joint IAEA/EANM/SNMMI practical guidance on PRRT and is an associate editor of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. Her current work extends theranostics beyond somatostatin receptors to new targets such as DLL3 in neuroendocrine and small-cell lung cancer.
