## Summary

The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) publishes and maintains a repository of procedure guidelines organised by organ system and application area (oncology, cardiovascular, central nervous system, paediatric, therapy, and more), plus the free-to-access European Nuclear Medicine Guide, a comprehensive handbook first launched in October 2018 (2026 edition released) covering basic science, in vivo imaging, hybrid imaging, radionuclide-guided surgery, dosimetry, radionuclide therapy and radiation protection. Many guidelines are developed jointly with SNMMI and other national societies, for example the joint EANM/SNMMI FDG PET/CT tumour-imaging guideline (version 3.0, 2025) and the EANM/SNMMI Tau PET recommendations (2026).

EANM guidelines are distinct from EANM's journal publishing: EANM ended its long-standing publishing partnership with Springer Nature and the EJNMMI journal family at the end of 2024, and in 2025 launched two of its own open-access journals with Elsevier, The EANM Journal and EANM Innovation. The guidelines repository is unaffected by that change and continues to sit on eanm.org.

All guideline documents and the European Nuclear Medicine Guide are free to read online or via a companion mobile app, with no paywall, making EANM's guidance the most openly accessible procedural reference in the field alongside SNMMI's.
